Welcome to the Culver City Police Department Reserve Corps Website. Are you up for a challenging opportunity for community service? Have you ever considered a position as a Police Officer but did not want to give up your current career. Then the Culver City Police Department Reserve Corps is looking for you!



These are volunteers who take time from there personal lives to contribute to the safety and well-being of the community as well as those who desire to work in law enforcement prior to seeking full-time law enforcement careers. These highly dedicated individuals spend numerous hours working and training and are given the same authority and powers of arrest as full-time officers.

Reserve Officers are required to work a minimum of 20 hours a month to maintain their skills. In addition, they are required to attend a monthly meeting and various training sessions.

While the main function of the Reserve Corps is for patrol, there are a variety of other assignments also available upon completion of two patrol shifts each month.



You must be at least 21 years of age; a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization; no felony convictions; of good character (determined by a background investigation); high school graduate or have a General Education Development Certificate (GED); and possess a valid driver's license.

Culver City encompasses approx. 5 square miles and is home to approx. 40,000 residents. It is just minutes from LAX, Marina del Rey and the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Downtown Los Angeles, making it ideal for residents, business, and visitors alike.
